Though a physical construction architect and a data center architect have two completely different
jobs on the surface, there are various principles that can be applied to both on-ground construction and cloud computing structures. The layers of a building must be designed in a way that works together and the same goes for a technical application strategy. Without cohesive layers and structure, the entire system will become frail and eventually collapse.
With there being so many different ways, a data center architect can apply and develop a strategy for their clients, choosing the right one for the business may be a daunting task. By utilizing the layers concept, originating from building architecture practices, an architect can easily categorize, monitor, manage, and select the various applications utilized in their strategy to ensure success.
Cloud computing is on the rise for many companies around the world and it’s only a matter of time before the traditional data center model is pushed more to the sidelines.
